Notes Shared login

Notes Shared Login (NSL)

The new Notes Shared Login feature, when enabled via policy or manually by the end user, locks and encrypts the Notes ID in the current Windows Profile using the PC SID and Microsoft's Data Protection API (DPAPI). This allows for maximum security as the certificates within the ID are now locked and bound to that PC and that OS profile.


Please feel free to contact support and request enhancement request status on each of this SPR listed below

Limitations:

1.) Shared Login passwords do not sync with web access passwords ( SPR- SAKI7P88GT).
2.) Shared Login is not supported with a Citrix envrionment (Enhancement- AJAS7PKJ3M)
3.) Password changes do not sync with the ID vault ( Enhancement- MBOK82QPPG)
4.) Smartcards cannot be used with Shared Login (Enhancement DJAG7CFLVK)
5.) The feature is limited to Windows.
6.) Shared Login is not supported with roaming users with a roaming ID.
7.) The ID file cannot be copied directly from one machine to another. (SPR- WTON7W8M6H) Procedures are documented in help for copying steps.
